Makeup Shades for Every Girl

There are many shades of makeup but there are a few that can be pulled off by every girl of every skin tone.

Here are the most recent ones.

The red lipstick
We all know that there are so many shades of red lipstick out there. But if you want the glamorous old-Hollywood look, there can only be one true shade- and that is the primary color red. Not the berry red, or thr brick red or even the fiery engine red. You need to be as close as the primary color red.

The rosy lip gloss
There is nothing safer than wearing the rosy lip gloss. You really can’t go wrong with it because most people’s natural lip color is similar to this. A semi-sheer gloss is what you need with a tinge of pink in it is the perfect hue for your lips.

Gold Eye Shadow
This is suitable for everyone. If you want to look for a metallic shade, this is the perfect one for you. It basically looks good on almost everyone. To avoid looking chalky, especially when you have pale skin, pick the one that has a pearlescent finish. You can go all the way by putting it on your lids or you can use it as highlight under your brows.

Peach Blush
The peach blush is the more subtle take on having blush on. If pink is used, you would look too artificially looking, but if you use a peach blush with a little shimmer on the apples of your cheeks will look naturally blushed. Place it on the cheekbones if you are on the dark side.

Deep Purple Eye Shadow
Deep purple, if it is the right hue, can be pulled off by almost everyone. If the wrong shade is used, it can be mistaken as a bruise. Avoid those with too much undertones.

Summer Makeup Trends 2009

Wednesday, April 22nd, 2009

If you want to change your makeup bag to match the season then you need to take a good look at the most recent summer makeup trends so that you can look fabulous when lounging by a pool or just sunning yourself in a bar garden. Summer is the time to go for a more neutral look but this does not mean that it is any easier to create and in actual fact, it can be rather difficult getting the natural look spot on.

Eva Mendes

Beiges, pinks and light plum colors are the way forward this summer and Chanel showed the way with their mysterious Spring Beauty range advertisement. With cat’s eye eyeliner and a pretty plum pout, the look was stunning and could be worn for any evening occasion.
For a lighter effect and a more day time summer look, you could try out the pretty pinks used in the Dior color collection ad. Pale pink and beige eye shadow was teamed with pale pink lipstick and a rose colored blusher for a pretty in pink appeal that would be great for the daytime. This look could easily be changed from day to night with the help of an eye liner pencil and slightly darker plum shades in the eye socket so that you can have two looks for the price of one.
Bright colors are another look that you can go for this summer with a funky edge and a more modern appeal and although this can be hard to pull off, the brighter the shade, the better! Clarins Pop with Color Fizz advertisement showed how to pull off this look with pink and bright yellow eye shadows and beautiful pink lipsticks. This is perhaps a look for the younger generation that are donning their high heels to go off clubbing but is a look that will definitely get you noticed for the summer of 2009.
