How to Incorporate Summertime Skin Care Into Your Daily Beauty Regime

Sometimes it can be very difficult to keep to a strict summertime skin care regime as it can take time and effort out of your day. Remembering to drink plenty of water, moisturize lots and use sun block can be hassle but these are vitally important for ensuring that the body and especially the skin is well looked after during times of hot weather.

When it comes to moisturizing, there really isn’t any such thing as too much and you should try and do this when you get out of the shower every day. You can also buy night and day creams for using when you get into bed at night and also again, when you get out of the shower or bath in the morning. If you keep the bottle of moisturizer by the side of your bed and also by the side of the shower, this will normally remind you to keep up with your summertime skin care regime and look as good as you should. Forgetting about this can lead to dry and dehydrated skin and this is not an attractive look especially if you want to sit in the sun in a bikini!
One of the most important things to remember about your summertime skin care regime is that plenty of water is important to make sure that your skin is fully hydrated. Try taking a bottle of water with you in your bag everywhere you go so that when you fancy a drink, you always have it to hand. You should also try to write down how much water you have drunk so that you can be sure that you are on track for the recommended six to eight glasses per day. You may find yourself running to the toilet every five minutes for the first few days of this plan but eventually you will get used to it and it will become the normal.

Simple Summertime Skin Care Tips

You can spend hundreds of pounds on the best beauty products that money can buy but sometimes it is the most simplest of things that can be perfect for your summertime skin care regime. Things as simple as remembering to protect yourself in the hottest times of the day and drinking plenty of water can be enough to ensure that your skin is as safe and protected as it should be.

Between 10 in the morning and 4 is when the sun is at its hottest and it is during these hours that you should stay out of the sun to ensure that you are keeping up with your summertime skin care regime. If you do have to be in the sun during these hours, you must remember to wear a wide brimmed hat and plenty of sun block that is suitable for the two types of rays that are sent out by the sun – UVA and UVB. You should remember to use the sun block at regular intervals and to use a waterproof one when you are planning to be in the water. Preferably, you should apply the sun cream around half an hour before you go out in the sun and then reapply it every couple of hours with a more frequent turnaround if you are in the water. As well as protecting your skin from the sun you should also protect your skin from things that will dry it out even more. Some of the products that you are using on your skin such as soap may be rather abrasive and you should try to refrain from using these things as they can lead to your skin becoming damaged. You should also remember not to dry your skin with a towel in a manner that is considered to be too vigorous as this could lead to the skin becoming damaged and also removing the essential oils that it needs.

Three Things For Summertime Skin Care

If you want to know how to look after yourself this summer while still looking fantastic then there are three things that you will need. First of all, aloe vera in any form whether it is the juice, oils or cosmetics that contain this. Secondary to this, you will need plenty of water and lastly but certain not least, a very good moisturizer.

sunbathing

Aloe vera is an amazing plant and has so many properties from soothing sunburn, (perfect for the summer) reducing the risks of premature aging and it also helps the skin to heal itself when it comes to burns, bites, grazes and even old scars. You can use aloe vera all over the body and is great for applying underneath your sun block for extra protection.
Another thing that you should use for summertime skin care is moisturizer and plenty of it. The sun and also other things like the swimming pools that contain chlorine and other chemicals can dry your skin out massively and it is a good idea to put the moisture in by moisturizing every day. This may seem difficult but if you remember to do it when you get out of the bath or shower everyday then you should have no problems. One thing that you do need to remember however is to try and use little or none of the moisturizer in between your toes as this can cause all sorts of nasty infections such as fungal ones.
Of course one of the most important things for summertime skin care is to use plenty of sun block to prevent against premature aging and burning of the skin which can lead to skin cancer. Always use a high SPF in the first few days that you are in the sun and keep out of the sun in the hottest times of the day such as midday.

Keeping skin clear, fresh, and young looking during the warm summer months is a problem for many women.  The weather is warmer and our bodies need to cool themselves down.  Our bodies are designed to sweat when we are too warm.  Unfortunately, that means our faces will sweat as well.  Keeping your face as clean as possible during the warmer months is important.  This is not the time to skimp or forget to wash your face thoroughly at night.  This is not that difficult and certainly not that expensive to achieve.  Follow these steps then you are sure to get a clear skin.

The first thing that you need is to keep your skin nice and clean. Start your morning as well as night by cleaning with a natural gentle cleanser, which not only gets away with the dirt, but also keeps it germ-free.

Once you are done cleansing, your next step should be patting dry followed by spraying a toning mist all over your face. It will cool off your face and close your pores while they are still clean.  This is also a great way to freshen skin from an afternoon out in the warm summer weather too.  Avoid alcohol in your toner unless your skin is very oil and demands this.  Keep a toning mist in your car, at the pool or bring to the beach.  Freshen-up skin frequently throughout the day and keep pores clean.

After allowing the toner to dry naturally, apply a good moisturizer on your neck and face. Your moisturizer should be especially designed for your type of skin.  If you have problem skin, look for products containing antibacterial components, such as tea tree oil. These components are effective for cleaning up blemishes and they are gentle on your skin as well.

Get enough rest so that your skin gets enough time to rejuvenate itself. You can even steer clear of dark circles and eye saddles if you get enough sleep.

It is also just as important to eat healthy food. You need to increase the amount of fresh veggies and fruits while reducing the amount of red meats in your diet. You should also ensure drinking enough water.

Make it a habit to clean your face as well as body with a scrub at least once a week. Use a gentle scrub on your face. Begin with the feet and proceed towards your heart to eliminate the toxins.

When your skins pores need a good cleaning out, there is a great home remedy called the ‘aspirin mask’.  It works well for people that have congested skin, pimples, acne and open pores. Make a paste with about 15 tablets of aspirin mashed-up and some water. Apply it to your clean face. Rinse it off after twenty minutes. Follow with a moisturizer.  Aspirin contains salicylic acid and this ingredient is found in just about every acne medication on the market.  It helps unclog skin and help it to stay clear.  Using uncoated aspirin works best, but it just takes a little more effort to break-up the coated type.

Get out of your home into the open. Go for a walk, take a dip in the pool, go for a bike ride. All this exercise will improve your immune system and help your skin stay healthy.

Supplement your diet with fish oil supplements. They are good not only for your skin but also for your heart. They will keep the toxins out of your body and help with keeping your skin clear.

These are just few simple and easy ways that can help you achieve a clear and healthy looking skin throughout the summer months.

Sunless Tanning Products, The Way To Go

If you are thinking about spending the weekend getting a tan in the sun, then think twice. The fact remains that tanning is not good for your skin. Exposing yourself in the sun, even up to a moderate extent, can put you at an elevated risk of getting skin cancer. However, if you do want the look of tan skin, then there are options. Sunless tanning lotions are everywhere and they are absolutely safe to use.  Just by following a few easy instructions you can get a very natural looking tan.

  • How to prepare your skin for self-tanning products?

If your skin is flaky and dry then it will not be able to absorb the tanning product evenly. This can lead to an uneven tan, which is worse than not having a tan at all. Therefore, before you apply, try to make your skin as smooth and as clear as possible.

You can do this by first exfoliating your skin. This will cause the removal of any dead skin as well flakes. After that, you can follow with a moisturizer every day. It may take a few days before you can see your new and good skin to come forth.

  • How to get the best tan?

Those days when applying tanning lotion caused your skin to become orange are long gone. Now, you can get a more enhanced and natural looking better tan.

The formula has of course changed over the years, the methods of application are varied.  The texture of the lotions are thicker and some even come in the form of mousses or foams. In addition, they are slow to get activated and fast to get absorbed. All of these factors are enough to give you a natural tan.

First, you will need to picture how the sun tans you. Generally, it is darker on your forearms while lighter underneath. Your armpits will rarely be the same color like your shoulders. Therefore, when applying the lotion, you can apply them slightly darker to those areas, which you think will be darker. This should be very subtle because you do still want to tan evenly. To achieve this, apply evenly and then buff off those areas that you do not want so dark.

This will help the dark tones to blend easily with the lighter ones. This will also include elbows, kneecaps as well as your hairline. Now, one more thing about these areas is that generally, they have rough skin and hence, you should exfoliate well prior to application.

  • When should you apply your self-tanner?

It depends on your plans for the day, or night.  There is no specific time you need to stick with when applying your self tanning products.  However, you should remember that they do not have any sunscreen. If you are planning to hit the beach the next day, then apply it the night before. Then you can awake to a natural and beautiful glow and you’ll just need to apply your SPF sunscreen and off you go!  You’ll arrive already looking like a beach-goddess!

Once you achieved your desired tan shade, maintenance should be easy.  However since build-up can occur over weeks and weeks of use,  you may want to do a good exfoliation to start over the proccess every few weeks or so.

Here comes summer and it brings along with it a lot of sun and also a galore of fads, with getting a tan being at the top of the list. If you are also looking to get that perfect honey-tone shade, and you do not want to use a self-tanning product, make sure you use a good moisturizing formula of tanning lotion, oil or spray.  Keeping your skin moist while in the sun is important.

There are several tanning products available, so you need to find the one that is perfect for your lifestyle and your individual skin type. Knowing your skin type is imperative as it will determine the amount of SPF you need.  The suns rays are harsh and you will need to use a lotion or oil with UVA/UVB protection in it.   I know your goal is to get a tan, but don’t worry, those rays will still penetrate the SPF.  You will be able to obtain a shade or two darker while protecting yourself from skin cancer as much as possible.

Some skin types are prone to burning, peeling, tanning while others are quite sensitive. It depends on whether you are Asian, African, or Caucasian.  Check on the moisturizing ingredients of the product as well. Sun exposure will make the skin dry. Hence, you should know if your tanning oil, lotion or spray will be able to provide enough moisture to your skin.

While it is important that the product you use have a good moisturizing effect, it should not be too sticky or greasy. It should feel light. You should look for products on the market that that have a combination of the following properties.

  • Check the usage instructions and follow them properly.  If it says to reapply it every 2 or 3 hours, remember to do so.  Set your cell phone alarm to remind you.  Time can fly by while your having fun in the sunshine.
  • Choose the tanning products that offer the best combination of benefits, as well as price.  Some good ones on the market today incorporate antioxidants and anti-aging ingredients into their formulations.  So they are worth paying more for, especially when using on your face.
  • If you must get a natural tan, use a higher SPF UVA/UVB to start out with, you can always go for a lower SPF factor later on.  Start out higher and protect from burning when you first start out.
  • Do some research and look on the internet for reviews and forums where other people are chatting about and reviewing the products they buy.  You are bound to find someone with the same skin tone as yourself that has a good tanning product they can recommend to you.

So if you simply must tan in the sun, follow these simple tips to find the perfect formulation for you.
